What is the Acer Chromebook Repair Course?
The Acer Chromebook Repair Course is part of the Acer Service eLearning Repair Program, aimed at high school students at Pioneer Springs Community School in North Carolina. It provides students with the skills needed to repair Chromebooks, helping them gain marketable skills while supporting their school community's IT needs.
What skills do students gain from the course?
Students develop a range of skills, including technical skills related to Chromebook repair, as well as soft skills such as time management, planning, organization, and the ability to stay on task. These skills are beneficial not only for their current roles but also for their future career decisions.
How many students have completed the program?
Approximately 55 students have completed the Acer Chromebook Repair Course since it was introduced two years ago. The course is part of the school's Pathways program, which offers various interdisciplinary academic focuses.
